Who is playing for Team USA at the 2024 Solheim Cup? Full list explored ft. Nelly Korda

On August 26, the Solheim Cup announced its automatic qualifiers for both Team USA and Europe. On August 27, all selections have been made and the competition, which begins next month, is officially on the clock. The automatic qualifiers, though there were plenty, were not the only golfers to have made it onto the team. Here's a list of the 12 players representing Team USA this year.

Full roster for Team USA Solheim Cup

Unsurprisingly, the team is headlined by Nelly Korda and Lilia Vu. These two are the top two ranked golfers in the world, so it's no surprise that they made it onto the team. Both of them finished T2 at the AIG Women's Open last week. They are not alone, however.

Lauren Coughlin is making her Solheim debut this year. She's ranked 14th in the world and is enjoying a bit of a breakout year, thus the qualification for the first time (via Solheim rankings).

Ally Ewing has made three appearances in the Solheim Cup (2019, 2021, and 2023). Her fourth will be this year, and she comes in with a 3-8-1 record so far. She qualified by points as well.

Allisen Corpuz is making her second straight appearance on the team after qualifying by Solheim rank. She went 2-1-1 in 2023 and will look to build on her success in 2024.

Megan Khang is making her fourth appearance for Team USA. Also in by Solheim points, she is 4-3-3 so far after playing in 2019, 2021, and 2023. Joining her is 26-year-old Andrea Lee, who is making her second appearance in this tournament.

Rose Zhang is back from the 2023 Team USA squad as well after qualifying via the Rolex Rankings, where she is ranked 10th overall. Alison Lee, ranked 25th overall, is in the Solheim Cup the same way. It's her second appearance but first since 2015.

Lexi Thompson, who is retiring this year, is making her seventh appearance. The Team USA standout played in the following Cups: 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023.

She is in by way of captain's selection as Stacy Lewis picked the golf star to be on the team. Jennifer Kupcho was another of Lewis' selections, coming in for her third appearance.

Sarah Schmelzel was also a captain's pick, but this will be her Solheim debut. She rounds out the team that will head to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia from September 13 to 15.

The previous contest ended in a 14-14 tie, and only two members of this Team USA (Lee and Thompson) having been a part of a winning club. Team USA has a 10-7 lead all-time in the competition, though.
