Following the back-to-back outings in Hawaii, the PGA Tour will head to California for the American Express 2025 next weekend. The event is set to tee up on Thursday, January 16 at three golf courses - Pete Dye Stadium Course, La Quinta Country Club and the Nicklaus Tournament Course in La Quinta.

The American Express 2025 will have a stacked field featuring dozens of Tour stars. Players like Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, Justin Thomas, Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Jason Day, Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler, Sungjae Im, and Cameron Young, are among the big names set to tee it up next weekend.

It is pertinent to note that World No. 2 Schauffele will be the highest-ranked player at the competition as Scottie Scheffler continues to recover from the domestic injury he sustained on Christmas Day. The No. 1 golfer was initially expected to return for The American Express. However, he is not on the field field, as per the circuit.

Meanwhile, The American Express reigning champion Nick Dunlap will return to defend his title. The then-amateur golfer returns as a pro and two-time winner on Tour next weekend. The golfers will take on each other for the $1.53 million winner’s paycheck from the $8.5 million purse along with the 500 FedEx Cup points on offer.
