Who is playing in The Farmers Insurance Open 2025? Full-field explored

The PGA Tour will now head to San Diego, California, for the Farmers Insurance Open 2025, the fourth event of the season. The third full-field event of the year will take place from Wednesday, January 22, to Saturday, January 25, at the North and South courses of Torrey Pines.

The Farmers Insurance Open 2025 will feature several top-ranked players in action. Twenty of the top-ranked players in the OWGR will compete at Torrey Pines for a $9,300,000 purse.

The Farmers Insurance Open 2025 field will also feature other top names like Ludvig Åberg, Hideki Matsuyama, and Keegan Bradley. Matthieu Pavon will aim to become the first back-to-back defending champion here since Tiger Woods in 2008.

Collin Morikawa, who was the highest-ranked player in the Torrey Pines field pulled out of the event on Sunday, January 19. While Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele are out due to injury, Rory McIlroy has yet to kick off his PGA Tour season.

Notably, Woods won at Torrey Pines for four consecutive years from 2005 to 2008. Overall he has won here seven times, the most in the tournament history.
