John Parry started the fourth round of the Mauritius Open in a share of ninth place, five shots off the lead. However, in the final round he carded an eagle, seven birdies, and a bogey to overturn the deficit and take the title.

This is Parry's second win on the DP World Tour and his first in 14 years. Speaking to Tour News Service after his victory, the Englishman said:

"It's massive. I don't know how long ago - five or six years ago - I was back on the EuroPro Tour and I was close to giving up golf after winning when I was 23 out here. So it's been a long battle back but worth every moment for this week."

The leader of the Mauritius Open after the first three rounds, Eddie Pepperell, could not get the job done and dropped back into a share of ninth place after a final round of 74.

The previous day's co-leader, Dylan Naidoo, started the fourth round with three bogeys without a birdie until the 4th, but recovered to card four birdies without a bogey over the next 14 holes.
