Will Nelly Korda play in The ANNIKA? LPGA Player of the Year’s availability explored

Nelly Korda is set to play in The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge. The tournament will be played at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, from November 14 to 17.

Korda is listed in the field for the upcoming LPGA tournament. She has won the tournament twice in 2021 and 2022. In 2021, she won the tournament in the playoffs against Lydia Ko, Lexi Thompson, and Kim Sei-young after carding a birdie on the first extra hole.

In 2022, she won the tournament by one stroke over Lexi Thompson. Last year, Lilia Vu won the tournament while Korda tied for 25th.

Nelly Korda was recently crowned the 2024 Rolex Player of the Year. She clinched the title with three LPGA events left as she had an unbeatable lead in top-10 finishes. Korda was quoted as saying about the Rolex Player of the Year title (via LPGA Tour):

In 14 starts on the LPGA Tour this year, Korda has six wins and nine top-10 finishes. She made 11 cuts and finished in the top 25 on 10 occasions.

Korda's six wins came at the LPGA Drive On Championship, FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, Ford Championship pres. by KCC, T-Mobile Match Play pres. by MGM Rewards, The Chevron Championship, and the Mizuho Americas Open.

Nelly Korda's schedule explored after the 2024 ANNIKA

Nelly Korda last competed in the 2024 Kroger Queen City Championship in mid-September. The 26-year-old was scheduled to compete in two tournaments in Malaysia and Korea in the Asian leg of the LPGA Tour. However, she withdrew from the tournaments because of a neck injury.

After competing in the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, Korda is expected to compete in the final tournament of the LPGA Tour, the CME Group Tour Championship. Her last tournament this year will be the PNC Championship. Korda said about participating in the latter event (via LPGA Tour):

"I’m so excited to be back at the PNC Championship this year. Teaming up with my dad for this event is always so much fun and it’s become one of our favorite weeks of the year. Competing alongside so many legends of the game is an experience that never gets old, and there's no better way to end the year than to play with my dad in the PNC."
