Paige Spiranac has some advice on hitting a draw:
"You should be able to work every club in your bag. Sorry you can’t hit a draw with a short iron"
The advice was concerning the tutorial video she uploaded where she demonstrated how to hit a draw by changing the setup.
Spiranac tweeted:
"How to hit a draw just by changing your set up!"
The video got a mixed response from fans on Twitter. Here's a look at some of the reactions:
"Not a bad take overall. I’m thinking there’s nothing from 125 an open face on a wedge can’t accomplish that a draw can."
"Even wedges? (Serious question)"
"I just tried this in my living room and the ball went through the window and hit my neighbor in the leg and now I’m grounded and my neighbor is in the hospital"
"So angle the club forward some and then put your back leg back a little? I’ll try it"
"Whats best distance to hit one from? 😎👊🏼"
"Jeshushhh. Come to Billings,MT please. Back 9. Same set up. Pleazzzzzz"
"Paige, that ball didn’t draw in the slightest"
"Making it look so good, and so easy! #DrawSZN"
"I bet that was not a male camera operator."
"the small amount of what i paid attention to in this video is rlly rlly terrible advice, u should never close ur clubface like that, it is all abt swing path"
"It's about turning your wrists to hit a good draw. You are just showing your chest which is great but getting blah"
"keep watching this but I just don’t learn anything…"
"I tell people to turn their left toe in just a tiny bit too. Blocks the hip from clearing too soon and helps control the path. Good stuff! 🤟"
"Is a bodysuit required to pull this off? I don’t think my foursome would appreciate it"
"Starting watching this and the Points Bet jingle came on the TV in the background at just the right time… bwhahaha. Took my brain a second to correlate the two."
"I didn’t learn anything, I was very distracted. But thank you"
"I gotta wear that outfit to shape my shots?? Whatever works I guess"
"Thank you. I learn so much watching these videos the presentation really helps"
"Easy for you because your top half and bottom half move at the same speed"
"I hardly ever golf, but when I do I slice the ball like nobody's business. If slicing was a good thing, I'd be great at it. I can't hit it straight to save my life, but I'm a pretty decent putter."
"Yeah. My setup looks nothing like that (for obvious reasons!), Paige. Accidents do happen from time to time. 😂"
"Change has to happen,"- Paige Spiranac comes in support of PGA Tour changes
Paige Spiranac tweeted in favor of the changes announced by the PGA that will come into effect in 2024. Major changes include the introduction of no-cuts in a few designated events with a shortened player field of 70-80.
Spiranac tweeted,
"We constantly talk about growing the game of golf then bitch when actual change happens. You can’t grow doing the same exact thing. Change has to happen. Some things will work, some won’t but you have to try new things."
The latest move by the PGA is receiving mixed responses, with some welcoming it, while the purists see the move skeptically.
