Xander Schauffele announced a documentary series on his journey as a golfer through a video posted by PGA TOUR on X on December 27, 2024. The nine-time PGA Tour winner is scheduled to start playing in the TGL in January 2025.
In the video, fans could see Schauffele speaking about his experience as a professional golfer. The golfer sopke about his life and how his own mindset while playing the sport. This docuseries will be titled Xander Embedded presented by Avis. It will show the fans Schauffele's journey and his achievements of 2024.
In the video shared by the PGA TOUR on X, Schauffele said while looking ahead to his 2024 season:
"There's times where I get the itch to get up and go to practice, and that's when I know I'm really ready to go for the new year."
The first episode of this documentary series is already out on the official Youtube channel of PGA Tour. Fans will be able to witness some in-depth moments of Xander's success. The episode offers a look at his schedule away from the golf course where Schauffele showed his life at his Florida home.
Schauffele has concluded his 2024 season and fans will see him back on the golf course in 2025. He is already qualified to play at The Sentry on January 2, 2025. Along with him, popular golfers like Ludvig Åberg, Rory McIlroy, and Scottie Scheffler are scheduled to play in that event.
How did Xander Schauffele perform in 2024?
The 31-year-old American golfer turned professional back in 2015, and he started playing on the PGA Tour in 2017. So far, the American professional has achieved nine wins on the PGA Tour.
Xander Schauffele won The Open Championship of 2024, where he finished 9-under with 69-72-69-65 overall. He scored six birdies in Round 4 on the 6th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 14th, and 16th holes to win the prestigious event. One of his prominent performances in 2024 was winning the PGA Championship at the Valhalla Golf Club. He won the event with 21-under par, beating Bryson DeChambeau by a margin of just one stroke.
Schauffele also finished in the top 25 on 20 occasions. He is currently second in the Official World Golf Rankings. In the FedEx Cup Standings, he finished fourth. This year, Schauffele participated in 22 events and made the cut all 22 times.
Apart from the two major wins, Xander Schauffele also secured the runner-up spot thrice this year. He is now getting ready to tee off in the TGL in 2025. The golf league, founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, is scheduled to start from January 7 at the SoFi Center in Florida.
