Xander Schauffele revealed a unique reason behind sticking to playing golf. The American golfer recently collaborated with Bob Does Sports for an interesting golf outing.

The golf influencer released a video of Schauffele on their YouTube channel. While playing golf, he and Bob Does Sports' hosts discussed golf while playing the game. The host asked Schauffele about what he would be doing if not playing golf, saying:

"What do you think you'd think you'd do if there wasn't..if you didn't golf. Where would you be?"

Replying to the host, Schauffele said:

"That's a good question...probably whatever it was I'd work really hard at it."

Following this, the host asked about Schauffele's passion, to which he replied that he started playing golf at a very young age and "never really had time" to do other things. He said:

"I mean I..I was too young. I never really had time to try anything else out to be completely honest."

The host next asked:

"Did you go pro really early?"
"No but I kind of..since I was like 13 I've been pretty committed." Xander replied.

Xander Schauffele was introduced to golf by his father, Stefan, at the age of nine. He started playing very early and won several tournaments during his amateur career. He won the 2011 California State High School Championship as an amateur and the Calistate Amateur Championship in 2014.

Schauffele started playing professionally in 2015 and has had an incredible career so far on the PGA Tour, where he has won nine tournaments. 2024 turned out to be a breakout year for the 31-year-old, as he won two Majors in a year, the PGA Championship and Open Championship.

Xander Schauffele reflects on his 2024 season

Xander Schauffele competed at the 2025 PGA Tour season-opening The Sentry last week. During the press conference of the tournament on December 31, Schauffele opened up about his remarkable season in 2024 and winning two Majors.

He said, via ASAP Sports:

"There's certain times when you're trying to push your swing to a certain place or you stack two, three good weeks in a row, and you feel really good. I would say that was sort of last year was Quail Hollow going into Valhalla I felt really good.
"The Open Championship is a different beast, you're just trying to keep the ball in play, keep it low, leave it on right side of the hole with the wind. So two completely different sort of styles of golf that cater to different things from your game. Yeah, I'm excited. I'm excited to keep working with Chris and sort of see how well we can put the full swing together," he added.

In the Sentry 2025, Xander Schauffele had a rough outing. He played four rounds of 72, 70, 66, and 67 and tied for 30th place.
