Former golfer Paige Spiranac emerged as a popular sports and fashion content creator on social media after her early retirement from the sport. Over the years she has garnered a staggering four million followers on Instagram.

Currently its sports season in the US with the NFL, NBA, and CBB (College Basketball) going strong. Recently, Spiranac took to her Instagram stories to place her bets on matches possibly for her latest collaboration with Sports Grid.

However, when Paige Spiranac uploaded the story announcing her bets, she misspelled Pittsburgh, probably attracting some criticism as she then took to her Instagram to clarify on her mistake. She wrote:

"Yes I know how to spell Pittsburgh correctly lol I didn't spell check before I posted. Not the first time this has happened and won't be the last haha."

Paige Spiranac has always been a huge NFL fan and has religiously posted niche content to celebrate the football league. However, she found herself in the middle of a ridiculous theory a few years back that she was jinxing NFL teams.

In 2022, Spiranac posted a picture wearing Los Angeles Rams' jersey to support the team at the start of the NFL season. But it so happened that the team lost to Buffalo Bulls. The same coincidence happened whe she wore Cincinnati Bengals' jersey before their match against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The absurd coincidences gave rise to the lore that Spiranac had been jinxing the NFL teams. Taking the jokes in her stride, the social media influencer even partook in the theories. She even asked for applications to wear the jerseys of the most hated teams.

A huge Steelers fan, the so-called curse seems to have been lifted as her Steelers defeated the Bengals after Spiranac placed her bet on the team.
