The DP World Tour partnered with a famous golf sketch artist, sending Min Woo Lee for influencer training. In the skit, Hannah Aslesen portrayed a golf influencer trying to ironically help Lee get a little bit more famous online. This came during the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, where Lee is tied for seventh after two rounds.

She said:

"Oh, this is a tough job. Some of these guys think they know everything."

Aslesen then asked Lee what he thinks of influencer training, and he responded in character.

"Child's play, really. You know I'm pretty good at this internet thing. You've probably heard of me. Chef? Woozy? Dr. Chipinski? Spinny Weasley? Lob MacIntyre? Jacuzzi Woozy? Woo Woo Lemon? Big Pertha? Min Diesel? Woo Jackman? Woo Fast Woo Furious? Mindiana Jones and the Temple of Woo?"

After all that and a few disapproving comments from Lee's influencer trainer, she said:

"I want to Min Woo leave."

Lee referred to some of his nicknames, but he and the writers of the sketch also came up with a plethora of others, utilizing the rhyming nature of his name.

Min Woo Lee discussed his nagging injury

Min Woo Lee took some time off after last season to make sure he fully recovered from his nagging knee injury. It was bothering him before the Australian Open at the end of last year. He wanted to make sure he was healthy before returning to defend his crown and play at home.

The golfer said at the time via FOX Sports:

“It’s just one of those things … it’s hanging in there."

The time off did him well, but he wasn't sure how bad it was going to be since he hadn't dealt with too many serious injuries before.

“I played nine holes and felt pretty good for most of it. It’s like a day-by-day thing. It’s just scary, I haven’t had many injuries. I didn’t do anything too bad to it but psychologically, you don’t want to push it. It’s a very mini injury. It’s been a long year and I just want to make sure I’m good for the tournament.”

Min Woo Lee ended up tied for 27th at that tournament, so he fell short of defending his crown. He made sure beforehand not to have his knee injury as a potential excuse, but he wasn't able to capture the magic for a second year in a row. Now, he heads into the 2025 season in much better health than he ended the last one.
