Mark Hubbard recently reacted to Scottie Scheffler's weight following his arrest. Scheffler's arrest report was released to the public not too long after his arrest ahead of the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship near the gates of Valhalla Golf Club on May 17.
Hubbard took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on fellow competitor and contender Scottie Scheffler's arrest report before teeing off the back nine of Valhalla Golf Club.
Hubbard wrote:
"No f***ing way Scottie only weighs 170 [lbs]... f**k i'm fat."
Mark Hubbard's reaction sparked laughs all over X. Scottie Scheffler's arrest report records the World No. 1's height as 6 feet and 3 inches with a weight of 170 pounds.
However, the PGA Tour's official website states Scheffler's height and weight as 6 feet and 3 inches weighing 200 pounds in his bio. Hubbard's PGA Tour bio states that he is exactly six feet and weighs 175 pounds.
Mark Hubbard and Scottie Scheffler are tied for second place along with Thomas Detry and Xander Schauffele at 9 under par with holes still left to play to conclude the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Course.
Why did Scottie Scheffler get arrested?
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was arrested near the gates of Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, ahead of the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship. Scheffler was booked and charged with the second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregard of signals from officers directing traffic.
An accident occurred earlier in the morning involving a shuttle bus collision that led to the death of a pedestrian who was later identified as a crew member of the PGA Championship's vendor. It sparked police officers to increase surveillance in the area leading up to the 2024 PGA Championship's venue, Valhalla Golf Club.
Scottie Scheffler was heading to Valhalla Golf Club in the morning to warm up for his second-round tee-off. Scheffler took a median road on his way heading to the course as he was encountered by traffic.
Officers requested the new father to stop his vehicle, but Scheffler attempted to drive past the officials. An officer attached himself to the 2024 Masters champion's car and screamed at him to halt. Scheffler obliged and was immediately pinned to his car and placed in handcuffs.
Scheffler was detained by Jefferson County and booked under the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections. He was released and has been reported to have been picked up by Jimmy Kirchdorfer, an owner of Valhalla Golf Club. He is scheduled to appear for an arraignment in court on 21 May.
Scottie Scheffler arrived at the Valhalla Golf Club an hour before his tee-off time. His arrest has prompted statements from the Mayor of Louisville, the PGA of America, and Scheffler himself.
