The popular social media influencer, Paige Spiranac, was once a star golfer in her college years. She had three top-20 performances during her junior year of college. She placed T15 in the Peg Barnard Invitational, making her the highest finisher at her college as well.

She was a great player even before she started college. She received the West Region Player of the Year title twice from the Future Collegians World Tour. She also competed in the U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur three times and qualified for the Junior PGA Championship four times.

Spiranac began playing professionally in late 2015, and she won in 2016 at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in a playoff match against Hannah O'Sullivan, at the Cactus Tour, a mini-tour located in Arizona. After this victory, she silenced those who had criticized her for attending events with sponsor exemptions.

She participated in the LPGA qualifying event that year as well; however, she was not awarded a card. But after a few failures and a lot of pressure, she realized she couldn't manage it and wasn't emotionally strong enough, so she retired.

Later on, she started writing a monthly column for Golf Magazine and worked as a brand ambassador for several brands.

Paige Spiranac’s Retirement

Spiranac retired from professional golf in 2016, at the age of 29.

The social media personality said that after giving the sport her entire life and not seeing any progress, she felt "burned out." Spiranac's parents, who are both athletes, encouraged her to improve her game.

The former professional golfer believed she was making herself "crazy," though since she thought she was capable of "much higher levels." Rather, she chose to prioritize gaining an online following in order to have a more active social life.

The ex-golfer amassed over four million followers on Instagram as of March 2024, after becoming well-known for sharing trick-shot videos with golf equipment.

She talks about all things sports, men, and her personal experiences on her podcast, “Playing-A-Round.” Spiranac still follows the events even though she is no longer a professional golfer, and she has admitted to fans on social media that Masters Week is her favorite.
