American professional golfer Patrick Rodgers was born on June 30, 1992, and he competes on the PGA Tour. Patrick actually tied Tiger Woods's record of 11 championships won during his amateur career. He held the top amateur ranking in the world at the beginning of 2014 for 16 weeks. In June 2014, Patrick became a professional.

At the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship, he placed T-8. At the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship, he took home his second victory of the year, 2015. He participated on a sponsor exemption in the Wells Fargo Championship on the PGA Tour in May and finished T-2.

In his first eight tournaments of the 2017 season, Patrick missed the cut five times and fell in the FedEx Cup standings from 43rd in January to 114th in June.

Despite his difficulties, Patrick held a two-stroke lead in the John Deere Classic, heading into the final round and seemed to be headed for his first PGA Tour triumph. He did, however, play the final five holes 1-over, allowing Bryson DeChambeau to prevail in the tournament.

Patrick came close to winning his first PGA Tour title in 2018 at the final tournament of the year after shooting rounds of 61–62 at the RSM Classic weekend, to force a playoff with Charles Howell III. Eventually, Charles won the playoff when Patrick missed the second extra hole from a similar distance and Charles made a birdie putt.
