The tee-off of the PGA Championship is just over a month away, but the golf world is already looking ahead to the second major of the season. Fans have already started reviewing both the history and the future of the event to prepare to enjoy it.
On Wednesday, April 17, the PGA of America announced that the 2031 PGA Championship will be held at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. With this announcement, the next eight venues for the event are now known.

2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Course
Valhalla Golf Course is a well-known venue for the fans of this event. It has been played there three previous times, most recently in 2014. The course is 2,458 yards and is par 72. It was designed by Jack Nicklaus and the record for 18 holes has been held by Jose Maria Olazabal since 2000.
2025: Quail Hollow Club
Quail Hollow Club is another of the courses with a lot of history within the American professional circuit. First-level tournaments have been played there, such as the PGA Championship in 2017 and the Presidents Cup in 2022. Since 2003, the Wells Fargo Championship has been played there.
The course was designed by George Cobb, has 7,600 yards, and is par 71. The record for 18 holes (61) is held by Rory McIlroy since 2015.
2026: Aronimink Golf Club
Aronimink is synonymous with history in American and world golf. Founded in 1896, it has hosted the Women's PGA Championship (2020), the US Amateur (1977), and the BMW Championship (2018) among others.
The course was designed by Donald Ross and restored in 2003 by Ron Prichard. It has 7,237 yards and is par 70. The course record is 62 and is held by five players (Nick Watney, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Kevin Na, and Tommy Fleetwood).
2027: PGA Frisco
Frisco, Texas, is the home of the PGA of America from 2022. Two championship golf courses (East Course and West Course) were founded there and will host more than 20 tournaments over the next decade. Among them is the 2027 PGA Championship.
2028: Lake Course at the Olympic Club
The Olympic Club is another of America's most historic golf venues. The club was founded in 1860 and added the Lake Course in 1918. It is a 7,170-yard, par 71 course that, among other events, has hosted five editions of the US Open and one of the US Women's Open.
2029: Lower Course at Baltusrol Golf Club
Baltusrol is another old acquaintance of the PGA event (it was held there in 2005 and 2016) and of major tournaments in a general sense. The Lower Course has hosted, among others, seven editions of the US Open and two US Women's Opens. The course was designed by A. W. Tillinghast, has 7,550 yards, and is par 72.
2030: Blue Course at Congressional Country Club
The Blue Course at Congressional Country Club was designed by Devereux Emmet and Robert Trent Jones and founded in 1924. It is par 72 and has 1,524 yards. The course has hosted the US Open three times, among other top tournaments.
2031: Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Club
The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Club was announced Wednesday, April 17, as the site of the 2031 PGA Championship. It will be the third time the event has come to this venue, following the 2012 and 2021 editions.
The course was designed by Pete and Alice Dye and opened in 1991. It has 7,876 yards and is par 72. In addition to the PGA Championship, it has hosted one edition of the Ryder Cup and one of the Senior PGA Championship.
