Phil Mickelson is one of the most well-known professional golfers. He is currently at the Royal Troon Golf Club for the 2024 Open Championship. The 54-year-old golfer recently posted a tweet and flaunted a new outfit during the practice round of the 2024 Open Championship at the Royal Troon Golf Club.

Mickelson was wearing joggers as a part of the bet for the practice round on Wednesday and said he never thought he could pull off this outfit. He thanked Grant Horvat, a social media content creator, for the same and said we both won.

"As an unfashionable 54 year old, I never thought I could pull off wearing joggers. Guess I was wrong we both won" he wrote on X.

Phil Mickelson missed the cut at the US Open where he finished at 15 over par.

Why did Phil Mickelson wear joggers at the 2024 Open Championship?

Phil Mickelson recently competed against Grant Horvat and uploaded a video of the same on his YouTube Channel. Before the game, they decided that if Mickelson won, Horvat would buy a year's subscription to four wellness products for one of his subscribers, while if the latter won, then Mickelson would wear one of his joggers to the 2024 Open Championship [1:01].

Mickelson lost the game as he finished even par, while Horvat finished with -2. It is important to note that Horvat began his round at -5, and he had a five-shot advantage over the left-handed golfer. So, it was slightly easier for the social media influencer to beat the 2021 PGA Championship winner.

So, to complete the bet, Phil Mickelson wore joggers during the 2024 Open Championship at the Royal Troon Golf Club on Wednesday and seemed to have loved the outfit.
