Rickie Fowler has long been a fan favorite on the golf course. His style of play has attracted a lot of fans since he debuted almost 16 years ago. Even though he's never been the world number one, hasn't spent a ton of time atop the rankings list, and has never won a Major, he's beloved in golf.
His personality plays a huge role in that, and one way he expresses that personality on the golf course is through his outfits. Whenever he's playing, there's a chance he's wearing something rather unique.
The trend of wearing eye-catching things to the golf course has picked up recently thanks to Jason Day and Malbon Golf, but Fowler was at the forefront. Here are five of his zaniest selections:
Rickie Fowler's most eye-popping outfits
5) 2014 Waste Management Phoenix Open
In 2014, Rickie Fowler turned heads by wearing an all-blue tracksuit-style outfit to the WM Phoenix Open. Golf attire is usually pretty understated, but Fowler caught everyone's attention with a bright wardrobe that really stood out against the green backdrop.
4) 2014 US Open
Leave it to Fowler to be the most interesting person in a field full of the world's best golfers. Fowler, to his credit, wasn't just wearing a unique outfit during this event. He finished tied for second, although he was eight shots back of Martin Kaymer.
The most interesting part of it all was his argyle knickers and interesting choice of pants.
3) 2014 Arnold Palmer Invitational
Rickie Fowler made some interesting fashion choices at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2014. Plaid is not a style worn frequently, but that's what he decided to go with for his pants.
On top, he matched that with a lime green belt, polo, and hat. The plaid pants didn't have lime green as one of their colors, so this was a unique pairing.
2) 2014 Players Championship
The golfer finished T77 at the 2014 Players Championship, so while he didn't have the best time on the course, his fashion choices certainly drew attention that weekend. His unique blue, green, and yellow striped polo caught eyes, but his scoreline and finish did not.
1) 2014 Masters
The 2014 version of Fowler may have been the most creative golfer ever in terms of fashion sense. His Masters outfit was one of just a few that year that turned heads. Orange is a bold color, but it's one the golfer uses often. Pairing it with orange plaid only added to the bold nature.
