Northern Irish professional golfer Rory Daniel McIlroy was born on May 4, 1989, and is a member of the PGA and European Tours. Throughout his career, he has held the top spot in the Official World Golf Ranking for more than 120 weeks. However, he is world No. 2 as of April 2024, according to OWGR.

McIlroy is a four-time major champion, having won the US Open in 2011, the PGA Championship in 2012, the Open Championship in 2014, and the PGA Championship in 2014. He is one of only three players to win four majors by the age of 25, the other two being Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

As an amateur and professional, McIlroy has represented Europe, Great Britain, and Ireland. He competed for Europe against the United States in the Ryder Cup in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, and 2023. In all of those years, Europe emerged victorious.

Rory McIlroy's Driver

Rory McIlroy started using the new TaylorMade Qi10 driver in April 2024. He set it to a 9-degree head set and adjusted the loft sleeve one notch lower to about 8.25- degrees. McIlroy continues to use Fujikura shafts, specifically the Ventus Black 6-X.

Before the end of the 2023 season, he had been using the lower-spin Qi10 LS driver. Prior to it, McIlroy alternated between the TaylorMade Stealth Plus and Stealth 2 Plus drivers, with a slight preference for the former.

Rory McIlroy's Fairways

McIlroy has replaced his previous TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus fairway woods with new TaylorMade Qi10 fairway clubs in both 15- and 18-degree configurations. He is using Fujikura Ventus Black 8-X and 9-X shafts in his three and five wood sets, respectively. Depending on the golf course and conditions, McIlroy's five wood frequently comes in and out of the bag.

The lower-spin Qi10 Tour fairway wood has both loft and sliding weight adjustability to fully dial in the ball trajectory, while the TaylorMade Qi10 fairway club is the intermediate option among the three, delivering a mid spin and launch profile along with a fixed hosel.

Rory McIlroy's Irons

Before switching back to some Rors Protos, Mcllroy had been using a set of TaylorMade P7MBs and a set of P730s. Among the special series of irons developed for several well-known TaylorMade staff players were the Rors Protos, which included Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose.

Each of them had a slightly different profile from the TaylorMade P730 iron, either with a different grind or a different blade length. His two to four irons are TaylorMade P760s, and they go from five iron to nine iron.

Rory McIlroy's Wedges

In the bag for 2024, Rory McIlroy has included a complete set of the new TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 wedges with a raw finish, 46, 50, 54, and 60 degrees lofts, and Project X Rifle 6.5 shafts. These golf wedges rank among the finest for spin control in wet conditions owing to the innovative technology on their faces.

Rory McIlroy's Putter

As of April 2024, Rory has moved to using one of the new Spider Tour X putters, although briefly using a Scotty Cameron putter in 2023. The gunmetal PVD finish is captivating, and it has a short slant hosel. It also features a SuperStroke grip, which is a well-known brand that produces some of the best putter grips available.

The Tour X model combines the advantages of a mallet design with the performance of a blade. Compared to blade putters, it provides more face rotation while keeping 5,000 MOI for improved stability since the TSS weights are positioned farther forward.

Rory McIlroy's Golf Ball

Rory McIlroy appears to be using a brand-new TaylorMade TP5x golf ball in 2024, which is another significant change for him. He used #22 to stamp his ball. The reviewers have recently given this golf ball a five-star evaluation because it does a great job of combining feel and tour performance in a low-spin ball.

Rory McIlroy's Shoes

Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 3 golf shoes and Nike clothing are worn by McIlroy. Rory, at the beginning of 2023, was first seen wearing the Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 3. He has since donned a range of versions, from more conventional colors to limited editions.

Rory McIlroy's Grips

Golf Pride grips are used by Rory McIlroy in his clubs. The MCC Plus4, a multi-compound grip composed of rubber and cable, is his preferred model. He's got it in the white and black color scheme.
