Australian Brett Rumford won the Ballantine’s Championship in dramatic style on Sunday, hitting an eagle to beat compatriot Marcus Fraser and Peter Whiteford of Scotland in a play-off.
The three players were level at 11-under-par at the end of four rounds before Rumford secured victory on the first extra hole. It is his fourth European Tour title.
