Ryan Hunter Palmer is an American professional golfer who was born on September 19, 1976. He competes on the PGA Tour. In 2000, Palmer started his career and took part in the Hooters Tour and Tightlies Tour from 2000 to 2002.

He played on the Nationwide Tour in 2003, where he won the Clearwater Classic and finished sixth on the money list to earn a spot on the 2004 PGA Tour.

At the 2004 FUNAI Classic at the Walt Disney World Resort, Palmer overcame Briny Baird and Vijay Singh by a margin of three strokes to earn his first PGA Tour triumph of his professional career.

Even though the course was difficult the entire week owing to rain at the 2008 Ginn sur Mer Classic, hosted during the PGA Tour Fall Series four years later, he won.

The 2017 Farmers Insurance Open included a sudden-death playoff in which Palmer lost. Palmer, who had been without a victory for eight years, entered a playoff with Jason Day and Alex Norén after making a bogey on the 72nd hole. But because Palmer could only par to the other players' birdies on the last hole, he was eliminated on the first hole of the extra hole.

Palmer has participated in more than 15 events so far in the 2023 season, although none of his most recent events saw him finish in the top 20. Palmer has placed in the top 10 three times and among the top five only once in his last ten appearances.

Ryan Palmer’s Driver

Ryan Palmer uses a Titleist TSR2 driver with a 9-degree loft and the D1 SureFit setting for the most effective customization. The preferred shaft is the True Temper Project X HZRDUS Smoke Blue RDX 60 TX, which offers the perfect balance of power and control off the tee. Palmer can obtain the distance and accuracy with this driver setup.

Ryan Palmer’s Fairways

Palmer carries a TaylorMade Stealth 2 3-wood in his bag that was created with a 15-degree loft for adaptability on different types of courses. The True Temper Project X HZRDUS Smoke Green Small Batch shaft matches this club and provides Palmer's fairway wood shots with stability and consistency.

Palmer also has an 18-degree loft TaylorMade SIM 2 Max 5-wood. The True Temper Project X HZRDUS Black RDX 80 TX shaft that is attached to this club gives him the control he needs to hit those long approach shots into the greens.

Ryan Palmer’s Irons

Palmer uses the Srixon Z U85 4-iron, which has a True Temper Project X HZRDUS Black RDX 100 6.5 shaft, for his long irons on difficult shots, and he chooses the Srixon Z785 5-PW with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 Mid shafts as his mid to short irons because they give him the precision to approach such shots, which is also the primary feature of these irons and shafts.

Ryan Palmer’s Wedges

Palmer uses Titleist Vokey Design SM9 wedges, which are perfect for his wedge game. For those key gap shots, he carries a 50-08F wedge with a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 Midshaft.

Palmer also has wedges with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue s400 shafts in sizes 54-10S and 60-04L.

Ryan Palmer’s Putter

Palmer's Odyssey O-Works R-Line putter is crucial for his short game. This putter allows him to hit the greens with a smooth and consistent stroke. He also has an O-Works Jailbird Mini putter at his disposal, which provides balance for different putting circumstances.

Ryan Palmer’s Grips

Palmer uses SuperStroke Traxion 17 grips on certain clubs, which provide a comfortable and solid grip to improve his swing performance. For others, he prefers Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips, which are noted for their tactile feel and control.

Ryan Palmer’s Golf Ball

Ryan Palmer uses the new Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, which is an enhanced version of a top-performing item from the 2019 generation. This model has received praise for its performance on the golf course because it combines impressive distance with precise control.
