Ryan Hunter Palmer is an American professional golfer who was born on September 19, 1976. He competes on the PGA Tour. Palmer began his career by competing on the Hooters Tour and the Tightlies Tour from 2000 to 2002. Palmer won the 2004 FUNAI Classic at Walt Disney World Resort by three shots over Briny Baird and Vijay Singh. It was his maiden PGA Tour victory.

He won the 2008 Ginn sur Mer Classic, held on the PGA Tour Fall Series four years later, despite the fact that the course was challenging the entire week due to rain.

Ryan Palmer’s Contracts

Ryan Palmer has endorsement deals with Unisys, Caliber, and Columbia. Apparently, Palmer doesn't see the allure of having contracts for each club in the bag and probably the ball as well when they could possibly earn more money with a mixed setup that is tailored to their abilities and is optimized.

In 2018, Palmer said in GolfWRX’s ‘Gear Dive’ podcast, "Well, the problem today is, you’re having to sign the full bag." “With TaylorMade, you’re having to sign the full staff, the ball. Titleist, full clubs, the ball. Callaway will get you in a driver deal. TaylorMade doesn’t have driver deals out there. Ping is obviously full staff, full clubs. So it’s just, guys are not wanting to sign away every club in their bag. I mean, for me, I got an Odyssey putter, Vokey wedges, Srixon irons, TaylorMade woods.”

He further added, "Guys don’t realize, you sign a $400,000 contract with whoever, go finish top 10 twice, and you’ve made it; you’ve made that money,” he said. “So that’s my approach. Mike Chisholm, my manager, close personal friend of mine first, but we talk about it all the time. And, to me, and he knows, there’s more money to be won on the golf course than there is off the golf course when it comes to equipment.”
