Ryo Hisatsune is a professional golfer from Japan and has four professional wins, including one at the DP World Tour (European Tour). He joined the PGA Tour in 2024, and as of April 2024, he had the best finish at the American Express, where he finished tied for 11th place.
He turned professional in 2020 and played on the Japan Challenge Tour, where he won three times. In 2022, he joined the European Tour's Q School and earned his spot on the tour for the next season. In the tie for second place at the 2023 Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, he was also three strokes behind Cameron Smith.
Then he achieved his first victory on the European Tour, winning the 2023 Cazoo Open de France at Le Golf National. After shooting 66 in the last round for a total score of 270, under 14, he defeated Jeff Winther and Jordan Smith by two strokes.
He was also selected as the 2023 Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year and defeated Ludvig Aberg, Tom Kim, Dan Bradbury, Dan Brown, Daniel Hillier, and Tom McKibbin to become the first player from Japan to win the trophy.
After finishing 17th in the Race to Dubai Rankings in 2023, Hisatsune became a member of the PGA Tour for the 2024 season. In January 2024, he participated in the Sony Open, his first competition as a full member of the PGA Tour, and tied for 30th. He also played in his first major appearance at the 2024 Masters Tournament but failed to make the cut.

Ryo Hisatsune’s Driver
Taylormade has released three new drivers on the market for 2023: the Stealth 2 Plus+, Stealth, and Stealth HD drivers. Hisatsune uses Stealth 2 Plus, which is adjusted to a loft angle of 10.5 degrees.
The Stealth 2 Plus, which was produced less than a year after the original Stealth drivers were introduced, is the second generation and offers greater "fargiveness" in terms of forgiveness and distance.
The 60X carbon twist face, speed pocket, adjustable hosel, and sliding weight are all included in the 100% carbon driver, but it's worth noting that the "missing element" is now more forgiving.
Ryo Hisatsune’s Fairways
Hisatsune's four-wood and seven-wood are both the same as his driver, Stealth 2 Plus, but with loft angles of 16.5 and 21 degrees, respectively. Unfortunately, no information is available about the type of shafts he uses.
Ryo Hisatsune’s Irons
P7MC is the iron used by Hisatsune. The new 2023 edition of the P7MC is the second generation of metal cavity irons and is a part of the P series, which also includes the P770, P790, and P7MB irons.
For even superior ball striking and shot shaping capabilities, the 2023 edition of the P7MC has minimum offset and enhanced perimeter weighting for elite golfers.
Ryo Hisatsune’s Wedges
Hisatsune's wedges are the TaylorMade MG4 at 52 and 60 degrees and the MG3 at 56 degrees.
Pros like Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, and Tiger Woods all prefer Milled Grind (MG) wedges; TaylorMade, rather than completely redesigning the Milled Grind 2 wedges, has made minor adjustments on MG3s. One of the main changes is the addition of new RAW Face Micro-Ribs, which increase spin and control compared to previous versions.
However, this was a year ago; now there is another upgraded option, which has replaced MG3s in most of the bags and made them MG4s. A new model that includes a fresh face finish, a redesigned clubhead, and more zip than ever before. The widest choice of carbon steel chrome, raw, black, and Tiger grind options are offered for the TaylorMade MG4 wedges.
Ryo Hisatsune’s Putter
Hisatsune uses a fairly older Odyssey Black Series ix 9 putter, though far better and upgraded options are available on the market, but then it all comes down to preference.
The milled black face provides an excellent roll. Furthermore, the striking is marginally firmer than that of the White Ice Line, which makes it more appropriate for UK year-round golf. The gorgeous new coating on the Odyssey Black Series helps to eliminate all glare. However, such a basic and classic style comes at a high price.
It's not the smoothest putter out there, but it reacts to your stroke, rolling the ball in accordance with your input, much like a muscle-back iron. The insert feels firm, much like milled non-insert faces.
