What is Scottie Scheffler’s nationality?

Scottie Scheffler is from Ridgewood, New Jersey, born on June 21, 1996, but was raised in Dallas, Texas, and therefore holds American nationality.

After the 9/11 attacks, the family moved to Dallas, Texas, from Montvale, New Jersey, when Scheffler was six years old in 2002. Scheffler’s birthplace, Ridgewood, is a few miles away from Montvale.

Scheffler's parents are also Americans; his father, Scott, was raised in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, while his mother, Diane, was raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. After the relocation, Diane was a COO at Thompson & Knight, a Dallas-based law firm, and Scott was a stay-at-home parent.

Scheffler told Golf Digest “when we moved to Dallas, it was pretty uncomfortable for my parents.” “Basically uprooted their whole lives, everything they knew to come here where they didn’t really know anybody besides my mom’s boss.”

Scheffler is the eldest of four children, the others being Molly, Sara, and Callie, all of whom play golf. In 2016, Scheffler participated in the amateur U.S. Open at Oakmont, where Callie caddied for him.
