Sergio García Fernández is a Spanish golfer born on January 9, 1980, and has won 36 professional events, including the 2008 Players Championship and the 2017 Masters Tournament. García has played on both the European and PGA Tours, although he joined LIV Golf in 2022.
García reached his highest OWGR of No. 2 in November 2008, after winning the HSBC Champions Tournament. He set a record of 28.5 points in ten of the eleven Ryder Cup tournaments he competed in during his professional career.
On the PGA Tour, Sergio García has amassed a total of 11 victories. In addition, he has 16 European Tour wins. He also won once on the Japan Golf Tour, and the PGA Tour of Australasia. García has also achieved six victories on the Asian Tour and five others.
In an attempt to locate his ball at the Wells Fargo Championship in May 2022, García got into a heated argument with a rules official. When cautioned that it was taking too long for his ball to be recovered, García became irritated and yelled, "A couple more weeks, and I won't have to deal with you anymore."
García walked away from the PGA Tour in 2022 and was later suspended from all future PGA Tour competitions after switching to LIV Golf.
After joining LIV and competing without a conflicting event release, García was fined and suspended from the European Tour. Later, a neutral arbitrator decided the dispute in European Tour’s favor.

Sergio García’s Driver
Over the past few years, Garcia has drastically altered and sliced this portion of the bag. He has been spotted carrying a Titleist TSR3 at different points in time, in addition to his original TaylorMade Stealth driver and a Ping G430 Max.
Sergio has occasionally been sighted using a TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, so it's hard to say for sure what exactly he is using at the moment. However, it appears like he is currently using the new TaylorMade Qi10 LS driver in a 9-degree head with a Fujikura Ventus Black 6-X shaft.
Sergio García’s Fairways
Garcia has used two fairway woods from the TaylorMade Qi10 Tour. Their lofts are different, with one having 15 degrees and the other 18 degrees. It is a great club for those that swing quickly, and it is obvious that the company has improved upon the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus significantly.
Both versions come with Fujikura Ventus Black shafts. Golf Monthly was quite satisfied with the Qi10 Tour's testing and believes they rank among the top fairway woods of 2024.
Sergio García’s Irons
Garcia is using the TaylorMade P7MB to go from a 4 iron to a pitching wedge as of April 2024. It appears that Garcia has gone back to using an older pair of irons after a brief trial with Ping Blueprint irons.
As per Golf Monthly, this is truly a club for the finest ball strikers, as it has a shorter blade length, less offset, and thinner sole widths than any other TaylorMade iron. Garcia alternates between a TaylorMade P770 3 iron and his 5 wood.
Sergio García’s Wedges
Garcia uses two more wedges after his set pitching wedge. He begins with a 52-degree TaylorMade MG4 model, and the Vokey SM9 WedgeWorks design serves as his 58-degree wedge. Unfortunately, the shafts he uses for wedges are not yet known.
Sergio García’s Putter
Garcia has been spotted with a number of models recently, including a LAB Golf Mezz Max and even some twenty-year-old custom Scotty Cameron putters. He is a big tinkerer when it comes to putters and isn't hesitant to test some unorthodox approaches.
Garcia did, however, start using a new putter in April 2024 called the Golfyr The Maker, which Golf Monthly reviewed and found to have exceptional forgiveness and an attractive design.
