Shin Jiyai wins Women's British Open

Shin Jiyai of Korea holds an umbrella during the final round of the Women’s British Open golf tournament at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake. Shin won the Women’s British Open on Sunday by a huge nine shots for her second triumph in the event.

South Korea’s Shin Jiyai won the Women’s British Open on Sunday by a huge nine shots for her second triumph in the event.

Shin, the champion at Sunningdale in 2008, finished with a score of nine under par, 279 for the tournament, with compatriot Park Inbee taking second spot on level par.

America’s Paula Creamer was third, one over for the four rounds.
