The Solheim Cup is a biennial women's golf event held in a team format. It features two teams of 12 players each competing over three days in foursomes, fourball, and head-to-head singles matches.
Although it is a biennial tournament and the last tournament was held in 2023, it will be returning for another edition in 2024. This year's Solheim Cup will be held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club from September 13 to 15. Ahead of its commencement, here is a recap of the winners from the last ten editions of the tournament.

2023: Europe retained
The 2023 edition of the Solheim Cup was held at Finca Cortesín in Andalucía. The event ended in a tie between the USA and Europe, with both teams finishing with a score of 14-14. However, as the defending champions, the European team retained the title. Stacy Lewis captained the USA team, while Suzann Pettersen led the European team.
2021: Europe
In 2021, the European team won the Solheim Cup, which took place in Ohio, USA. The European team secured victory by two points with a score of 15-13. Pat Hurst captained the USA team, while Catriona Matthew was the captain of the European team.
2019: Europe
In 2019, Catriona Matthew led the European team to victory at the Solheim Cup, held at the Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course, Scotland. After the three-day event, the European team finished with a score of 14½, while the USA team, led by Juli Inkster, finished with 13½.
2017: USA
In 2017, under Juli Inkster's leadership, the USA team emerged victorious with a significant margin of five points. The USA finished with a score of 16½, while Europe scored 11½. The tournament was held at Des Moines Golf and Country Club.
2015: USA
In 2015, Juli Inkster led the USA team to victory at the Solheim Cup, which was held at Golf Club St. Leon-Rot in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The USA registered a one-point victory.
2013: Europe
The 2013 Solheim Cup was notable for the European team, which defeated the USA team, led by Meg Mallon, by eight points. Caroline Hedwall scored a perfect five points for Team Europe at the event. Liselotte Neumann was the captain of the European team that year, and the event was held at Colorado Golf Club.
2011: Europe
In 2011, Alison Nicholas led the European team to victory at Killeen Castle Golf Resort in County Meath, Ireland. The European team scored 15 points while the USA team, captained by Rosie Jones, scored 13 points.
2009: USA
In 2009, the Solheim Cup was held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois. Beth Daniel led the USA team and Alison Nicholas captained the European team. The USA won the event by four points, finishing with a score of 16, while the European team scored 12.
2007: USA
In 2007, the USA team, led by Betsy King, won the Solheim Cup with a score of 16. The European team finished with 12 points. The tournament was held at Halmstad Golf Club, Tylosand, Halmstad, Sweden.
2005: USA
Team USA also won the Solheim Cup in 2005 at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. Nancy Lopez captained the USA team and Catrin Nilsmark led the European team. The USA finished with a score of 15½, while the European team scored 12½.
