Tiger Woods made an impressive return to the PGA Tour as he finished T-27 after the conclusion of the first day at the Genesis Invitational. He started slowly but with three straight birdies in the last three holes at Riviera Golf Club. As the biggest name in the game is back on Tour, the betting audience has also started making their permutations and combinations.

The 2022 Masters was the last time Woods played all four rounds of golf. He missed the cut in the last Open Championship, his last official start. However, he was seen playing at the PNC Championship alongside his son Charlie Woods and at Capital One's "The Match" where he and Rory McIlroy were defeated by Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

As per BetMGM sportsbook, Tiger's odds at Riviera Golf Club are +12500 odds to win (which was +15000 on Tuesday). For a top-five finish, Woods' odds are +2200, while they are +1100 for a top 10, +450 for a top 20, and +150 for a top 40.

Woods has been bogey-free only thrice in the 42 rounds he played at the Genesis Invitational. two of those came in 1999, two and a half decades back. The third time came way back in 2001.

Woods has scored just seven eagles in his 42 rounds, 5 of them came as recent as 2019 and 2020. The other two came in in 2001 and 2004.

Here are all the odds for Tiger Woods' performance at the Riviera Golf Club:

  • Odds to Win: +11000
  • Odds of cutting: +200
  • Odds to lead after Round 1: +6600
  • Top 5: +2200
  • Top 10: +1000

Tiger Woods at T-27 after Day 1 at the Genesis Invitational 2023

Tiger Woods T-27 finish after round 1 at the Riviera Country Club near Los Angeles was ahead of the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose, and Matt Fitzpatrick.

There is still room for improvement for the 82-time winner on the PGA Tour, much like his accuracy off the tee, as he could only hit six of the 14 fairways.

Five of Woods' drives were more than 320 and the longest of which went 338 yards.
