Born on May 21, 1973, Stewart Ernest Cink is a professional golfer from the United States who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2009 Open Championship over Tom Watson in an aggregate playoff that lasted four holes. He spent more than 40 weeks in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking from 2004 to 2009; his best ranking was the 5th position in 2008.
A few of his notable victories are the Mexcian Open and the Nike Tour in 1996, which ultimately led him to join and start playing for the PGA Tournament. Even during his rookie year in the PGA, he managed to bag the Canon Greater Hartford Open championship. He won the 2000 MCI Classic and the 2004 MCL Heritage, which gave him the World Golf Champions title! But 2009 was definitely one of his most significant years in terms of winning, as he won the Open Championship at the Turnberry. He won the Safeway Open in 2020 and RBC Heritage in 2021, becoming one of the very few players in the world to have won this twice in the same season after turning 47!
Who is Stewart Cink's caddie?
Stewart Cink's caddies have changed several times; previously, Stewart Cink's caddie used to be Lisa, his wife. But soon, as mentioned in the San Diego Union-Tribune, Lisa Cink had to step down, as she had breast cancer. Now, Stewart Cink has a new caddie, Chris P. Jones.
Chris P. Jones is one of the veteran caddies who has been working in PGA for a long time. He is from Watchung, New Jersey, and completed his studies at Watchung Hills Regional High School in 1995. He is quite a golfer with a handicap of 6. But he never grew up playing golf or never played professionally. On the other hand, he used to play baseball in college!
