Professional golfer Tania Tare is a trick-shot artist with enormous popularity on social media after her videos went viral. Tania Tare hails from Auckland, New Zealand. She was born to Peter Aitken and Tuuvu Tare, among nine other siblings. She was initially interested in basketball, soccer, and tennis but began golfing after seeing a Tiger Woods Nike commercial at the age of 12.

“If I think about how it all started, it’s actually pretty crazy,” she told USA Today.

“I didn’t hit my first golf ball in a normal way until I was like 14. So technically, yeah, that’s probably the first thing I did that related to golf,” Tare added.

In 2006, Tare was awarded the Blues Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Golf" by Auckland Girls Grammar School. She won 10 games and finished in second place the following season while captaining the provincial team. She was also named the 2008 Auckland Golfer of the Year.

Tare began attending Florida International University in 2009 and completed her studies there in 2013. She played professional golf for six years and nine months in NZ Golf, from 2014 to 2020. From December 2015 until January 2017, Tare served as Study and Play USA's main golf consultant and was also named director of Peasant NZ in July 2016.
