The 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions will be held from January 3-7 at the Kapalua Resort (The Plantation Course), Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii, with a $20,000,000 purse. The winner's share is TBD.
PGA Tour play begins with The Sentry. Initially, only golfers who had won a tour event the year before could compete; however, this year, invitations were extended to players who had qualified for the Tour Championship. The tournament was founded in 1953.
It was the first tour event each year, from 1986 to 2013. The PGA Tour switched to a wrap-around schedule in the fall of 2013, starting in September and ending in August. In 2022, Cameron Smith emerged victorious with the lowest-ever 72-hole-to-par score (−34) on the PGA Tour.
The winner of the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions final standings was Jon Rahm, who won on the PGA Tour at Kapalua Resort's Plantation Course on Maui, Hawaii, to reclaim the title he narrowly lost the previous year.
Rahm won by a considerable margin on 27-under 265, turning around a seven-shot lead with Collin Morikawa with a final round score of 10-under 63. Tom Hoge and Max Homa tied for third place with a 23-under total. Rahm received the $2,700,000 winner's share of the $15,000,000 purse.
