Max Homa is one of the most active golfers on social media, especially X. He recently explained the harsh reality of playing golf to a fan on X. A fan recently questioned the 33-year-old golfer if the ball in the fairway divot rule could be changed, to which Homa replied with a no.
Looking at Max Homa's response, one fan questioned him, saying if people are not good at golf, can they just move the ball from the divot?
"Right... but what if you are not good at golf... can you just say f*ck it, and roll that thing out?"
Max Homa agreed to it and said this game sucks and is impossible, so it is imperative for the casual golfer who is not playing tournaments to have fun.
"If u are a casual golfer not playing tournaments, and I can’t stress this enough, do whatever u want. This game sucks and is impossible. Just have fun," Homa replied.
According to the rules, if the ball ends up in the divot on the fairway, there is no free relief, and the ball has to be played as it lies. Some people are in favor of this rule, while others want it to be changed.
