Tiger Woods to face Justin Rose in TGL singles: Match 2 pairings and format explored

The second match of TGL's inaugural season will be played today on January 14, between Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club and Los Angeles Golf Club. The tournament will take place at the innovative SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at 7:00 PM EST.

Both teams will go against each other playing 15 holes. The first nine holes will be played in a Triples format while holes 10 to 15 will be played in a head-to-head Singles format. While each team has a four-player roster, only three will be present in each match.

For today's match, Los Angeles Golf Club will feature Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala, while Jupiter Links Golf Club brings on Tiger Woods, Kevin Kisner, and Max Homa. The former's Tommy Fleetwood and the latter's Tom Kim will sit out their team's debut match.

The above lineup is the order for both the Triples and Singles sessions. The Triples will see each team playing in an alternate shot format while Singles will be one-vs-one for the entire hole.

While TGL has 30 custom holes, Match 2 will see the same 15 holes as the opening tournament. Jupiter Links Golf Club will tee off first and begin the tournament in possession of the Hammer.
