Tom Hoge, aka Thomas Robert Hoge, is an American professional golfer born on May 25, 1989. He competes on the PGA Tour as of March 2025. Between 2006 and 2011, he won seven amateur titles, including three North Dakota Stroke Play Championships and two Minnesota State Amateurs. He attended Fargo South High School before moving on to Texas Christian University, where he won the NCAA Championship in 2009.
Hoge turned professional in 2011 and went on to win his first professional win, the Canadian Tour Players Cup, in the same year. He joined the Korn Ferry Tour (formerly the Web.com Tour) the following year. He joined the PGA Tour in 2015, but his first win came at the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. As of March 2025, he has won four professional wins and is ranked world No. 51, as per the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR). His career-high ranking is No. 24, first achieved in March 2023.
Tom Hoge's Caddie
Tom Hoge’s caddie is James Edmondson as of March 2025.
As per Edmondson's LocaliQ bio, he began playing golf at the age of six and, a decade later, earned a nomination to play at the U.S. Air Force Academy. By 18, he played college golf for the University of Houston and became a caddie after graduation. He first caddied for Ryan Palmer in 2002 and has also caddied for Jeff Bookout and Jason Case, as per Caddie Network.
The Caddie Network interviewed Edmondson in 2018, and he explained that he considers the best part of being a caddie is being able to spend more than 25 weeks a year with his wife, Heather, and two daughters. On being asked about his "greatest golf memory," he said, "draining a 50-footer for birdie at 16 in front of Chairman Payne and then bogeying the 18th at Augusta to shoot 72 a week before the 2012 Masters."
Tom Hoge's earlier caddie was Henry Diana, a veteran caddie with more than two decades of experience. Hoge hired Diana in 2019, and before him, he caddied for Charles Howell III, Ben Crane, Bill Haas, Cameron Beckman, and Colt Knost. Interestingly, Diana was a professional golfer before becoming a caddie and played on the Nike Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour, according to Golf Monthly. However, he did split with Hoge, and James Edmondson appeared as Hoge's looper in the mid-2024 season at the 2024 Players Championship, as per Caddie Network.
