In May, Scottie Scheffler faced major disruption in his PGA Championship campaign as the World No. 1 golfer was arrested ahead of the second round. The Louisville Metro Police Department arrested Scheffler as he tried to drive past traffic, which was the result of a civilian losing his life in an accident outside Valhalla Golf Club.

The charges against Scheffler included second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic. However, he was later released and made it on time to begin his round. Soon after, the charges on Scheffler were also dropped.

However, the world of golf was reminded of Scottie Scheffler's incident after Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill was detained ahead of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hill was detained for a driving violation but was released later. While Scheffler was arrested, Hill's detainment reminded many of Scheffler's incident.

On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), a user shared an image of Tiger Woods to describe the situation and wrote:

"Tyreek Hill when he bumps into Scottie Scheffler in jail."

PGA Tour professional Michael S. Kim wrote:

"Pants were def ruined… Prob more expensive in Miami than Louisville too."

Let us take a look at some more reactions:

"This is one crazy trend," wrote one user.
"Tyreek getting ready for the NFL season like," one user wrote sharing an image of Scheffler.
"Scottie Scheffler and Tyreek Hill," another user wrote sharing a gif.
"If Scottie Scheffler can shoot 68 after getting arrested for a traffic violation, Tyreek Hill can go for 12/160 with a TD," a user wrote.
"Scottie Scheffler and Tyreek Hill," wrote a user sharing the famous meme of Spider-Man pointing at Spider-Man.

After being released, Tyreek Hill played in the Miami Dolphins' game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which the Dolphins won 20-17. Scheffler too had played the entire PGA Championship but did not manage to win the event and ended up finishing T8.
