WATCH: LIV Golf's Tyrrell Hatton makes impressive save from the trees to maintain British Masters lead

Tyrrell Hatton has teed off at the 2024 Betfred British Masters. The prestigious DP World Tour event hosted by golfing legend Sir Nick Faldo has seen the LIV Golf star display incredible skill and precision. The Englishman carded an incredible seven under par 65 score on the second day to become the overnight leader.

On Saturday, Hatton's 260-yard tee shot found the trees to the right of the hole at The Belfry's par four fourth hole, during the third round. Faced with 173 yards to the pin, the 6 time DP World Tour winner was left with little room to play with.

Unfazed, Hatton managed to navigate his next shot through the big trees with great skill, landing the ball just a few feet away from the hole as he narrowly missed out on an eagle.

The 32-year-old would go on to miss his putt for birdie and tapped in for par on the course's tenth hole. With ten holes of the third round still left to be played at the time of writing, Hatton sits tied for fourth place with Jorge Campillo at nine-under par.

Hatton was able to participate in the event after he completed his outstanding suspensions to give him a chance at securing a spot in the Ryder Cup Europe team. The LIV Golf sensation had a bit of a rocky start to the third round of the 2024 British Masters. He started the day with a bogey on the par-four first after finding the bunker with his tee shot. However, he then scored a birdie on the par-five third hole before carding another bogey on the par-four sixth hole.
