The 2024 Scandinavian Mixed is underway with two rounds concluded at the Vasatorps Golfklubb in Helsingborg, Sweden. The DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour event saw LPGA Tour star Madelene Sagstrom miss the halfway cut by three strokes.

During the second round, the Sweden native had found the extremely thick rough on the left of the 18th hole off the tee. Marked as the third toughest hole on the course, Madelene Sagstrom failed to get out of the area with her second shot.

Finding herself stuck in the rough once again, Madelene Sagstrom's third shot found its way to the other side of the hole and struck a camera operator. The man was caught gripping onto his head as he fell to the ground with spectators gathering to help.

As the camera operator was taken to the hospital, Sagstrom was shaken by the incident and went on to card in a triple bogey seven for the final hole and missed the cut.

Madelene Sagstrom 2024 Scandanavian Mixed Recap

Madelene Sagstrom finished tied for 89th place with eleven other players at one over par for two rounds to miss the halfway cut at the Ladies European Tour and DP World Tour's 2024 Scandanavian Mixed at Vasatorps Golfklubb. With only the top 70 players including ties making the cut, the Sweden native missed the cut by three strokes.

Sagstrom started off the opening round with a birdie on the par-four first hole but was quick to neutralize with a bogey on the next. Unfazed, she proceeded to make two more birdies to finish the back nine even par 36 with a double bogey on the par four eighth hole. The LPGA Tour star put up a stellar performance on the back nine with eight pars and one birdie to card in a one-under-par 71 for the first round of the 2024 Scandinavian Mixed.

In the opening round, Sagstrom had an impressive average driving distance of 275.5 yards. A driving accuracy of 78.6 percent ranked her 18th in the combined men's and women's field.

With her mind set on winning another title, Sagstrom fired up a bogey-free front nine for the second round carding in a stunning four under par 32. However, she dropped her place on the leaderboard as she made bogeys on holes 10, 12, and 13, before catching a break with a birdie on the 14th hole.

However, the 18th and final hole of the second round put her out of the two under-cut line. A bogey on the 16th hole and triple-bogey seven on the last hole not only cost her the chance to make the cut, but a rogue shot on the 18th hole sent a camera operator to the hospital. She went on to card in a two over par 74 score for the day.

In the second round, Sagstrom had an average driving distance of 220 yards with an accuracy of 57.1 percent. With a greens in regulation percentage of 66.7 percent, she averaged 1.8 putts per green in regulation hit.
