The 2024 PGA Tour season provided fans with thrilling victories, stunning comebacks, and inspiring moments, but not every swing was a masterpiece. Even the game's greatest players occasionally struggled, proving that golf is as much a mental as a physical battle.

As the year comes to an end, here's a look back at the some of the worst golf shots (via X @PGATour):

Here's some of the most notable misses on the PGA Tour this year:

The first clip shows Tiger Woods shanking a shot during the opening round of the 2024 Genesis Invitational. After hitting his second shot on the 18th hole, the 15-time major championship winner dropped his club to the ground and shook his head in disappointment. The ball only travelled about 71 yards, which includes the tumble down a hill to the extreme right of the hole.

During the final round of the 2024 TOUR Championship, Scottie Scheffler shanked his shot from the greenside bunker on the eighth hole. Although he went on to win the event, the World No. 1 golfer's ball almost landed up in the bunker to the front of the green. It came to rest on the fairway.

Thomas Detry executed a disastrous shot at the American Express early this year. Faced with a chip off the green near the rocks, he struck it. However, right after making contact, the ball struck the rock right in front and rolled back down to get wedged in a pile.

PGA Tour's first event of 2025: Field Explored

World No. 1 golfer Scotty Scheffler is set to miss the PGA Tour's first event of 2025 - the Sentry - following a freak accident in the kitchen during Christmas day. The tournament, which is also the first Signature event of the season, will be played from January 2 to 5 at the Plantation Course at Kapalua on Maui.
