The Team Championship will be the culmination of the 2024 LIV Golf season after Jon Rahm was crowned individual champion. Team participation is one of the hallmarks of the circuit, which is why this event is so important.
The final event of the LIV Golf season will be played at Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas, Texas. The tournament will be a three-round "win and advance" format, giving all teams a chance to win, regardless of their ranking.

The top three teams from the season standings will not play in the first round (quarterfinals) and will be seeded in the semifinals. They are Bryson DeChambeau's Crushers GC, Jon Rahm's Legion XIII and Cameron Smith's Ripper GC.
The remaining 10 teams will play the quarterfinals in a single format. Teams ranked 4-7 will choose their opponents, while the 8th-ranked team will be paired with the team no one else has chosen.
This option is available to Brooks Koepka's Smash GC, Joaquin Niemann's Torque GC, Sergio Garcia's Fireballs GC, Louis Oosthuizen's Stinger GC and Martin Kaymer's Cleeks GC.
The format of the LIV Golf Team Championship quarterfinals will be three matches between each pairing. Two matches will be singles and the third will be foursomes. Each match will award one point to the winner, and the team that wins two points will win the matchup.
The five teams that win the quarterfinal matches advance to the semifinals, while the losers are eliminated.
In the semifinals, the five advancing teams join the three seeded teams. The format will be similar to the previous stage, i.e., the seeded teams in the semifinals will choose their opponents and two matches will be played in singles and one in foursomes.
The four winning teams will advance and will compete for the title in the third round. This will be played in stroke play format, and the scores of each player will be relevant to the overall team score. The winner will be proclaimed Team Champion of the season.
A look at the top teams of the 2024 LIV Golf season
Bryson DeChambeau's defending champion Crushers GC was not the team with the most wins during the LIV Golf regular season, but it was the most consistent with good results. That led them to the top of the leaderboard, eight points ahead of Jon Rahm's Legion XIII.
The Crushers won three events and had four other podium finishes. Legion XIII won one more event, but had two fewer top-3 finishes.
Cam Smith's All-Aussies Ripper GC and Brooks Koepka's Smash GC each won two events and had three podium finishes. However, Ripper's 13 top 10s gave him a 19-point lead over Smash, who finished fourth with 10 top 10s.
