It's interesting to note that throughout the past year, his driver has changed frequently. Before moving to a TSi3 model, he was using a TS3 driver.

It was intriguing to watch which driver remains in the bag on a consistent basis because he first converted to the TSi2 model before switching back to the TSi3 model. However, he has currently inserted a TSR3 driver, the most recent model, inside the bag.

Following his first-round score of 67 at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship, Thomas said, "The spin is the biggest difference." “When I heel it, it doesn’t spin crazy high, and when I toe it, it’s somehow spinning a little more. It’s unbelievable in terms of misses.”

Justin Thomas’ Fairways

Thomas still uses older fairway woods as opposed to the driver. The first one is a 15-degree lofted Titleist TS3 model. The second, a 915Fd with 19 degrees of loft, is even older. The TS3 is one of the quickest fairway woods available, and as a result, it provides some of our longest carries, surpassing what we observed with the 917.

In terms of shafts, Thomas relies on a Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue 85 TX shaft for his three-wood and a shaft from a completely different company for his five-wood. Given that he is using a Fujikura Motore Speeder VC 9.2 Tour Spec X shaft with an older head, it appears that he has complete faith in this club.

Justin Thomas’ Irons

Thomas occasionally uses a Titleist U500 utility iron, although his setup varies based on the course, the weather, and other circumstances. Thomas chooses a Titleist T100 four-iron for his consistent iron setup before switching to a set of Titleist 621.JT blades. The clubs range from five irons to nine irons.

“I travel with this putter a bunch. I’ve brought it to tournaments with no intention of really using it, but it’s good for practice,” Thomas told Golf.com.
