Viktor Hovland's Driver

Hovland used a Fujikura Speeder TR 661 TX shaft with a slightly older Ping G425 LST driver, which he used to succeed. Although most Ping tour pros have switched to G430 drivers, Hovland has stuck with the G425 as of July 2024.

Viktor Hovland's Fairway

Hovland carries a TaylorMade Stealth Plus fairway wood with a Fujikura Ventus Blue 7 X shaft, although the majority of his clubs are Ping. Once more, this is a little older model, but because of its fast pace, high launch, distinctive appearance, and overall quality, it was among the best fairway woods made available recently.

Further, he also carries a Ping G430 Max seven-wood. The Stealth has a loft of 15 degrees, and the G430 Max has a loft of roughly 18 degrees. It has a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 8 X shaft installed, and it enters and exits the bag based on the terrain and weather.

Viktor Hovland's Irons

Hovland frequently travels with a set of Ping i210s and a Titleist U505 Utility iron. They have KBS Tour 120 X shafts and range from four iron to pitching wedge. Hovland does something pretty cool with his i210s to get them to fly a little lower while he plays in the wind. One of the greatest irons for low handicappers is the i210 because it offers a good combination of forgiveness and workability.

All of his clubs, with the exception of the putter, are shortened by a quarter of an inch, and the lofts are reinforced by 0.5 degrees. The ball travels lower because of the combination of the clubs' shortening and the lofts' shifting, increasing ball speed and decreasing spin.

Viktor Hovland's Wedges

Hovland also carries two Ping Glide 4.0 wedges at 50 and 56 degrees and two Glide 2.0 wedges at 58 and 60 degrees. The Ping Glide 4.0 wedge appears amazing, particularly in the more conventional teardrop shape that comes in three of the four sole variations, as per Golf Monthly. The easiest thing to notice was how simple it was to spin the golf ball. The ball sat to attention faster than most new wedges, even when making shots that came off a little hotter and lower than anticipated.

Viktor Hovland's Putter

The preferred flat stick for the Norwegian is the Ping PLD DS 72, which is a fantastic face-balanced mallet with a great feel from the machined-forged steel head and good forgiveness.

Viktor Hovland's Golf Ball

Hovland plays with the most popular golf ball on the Tour, Titleist Pro V1. It is also considered to be among the greatest premium golf balls ever produced.

Viktor Hovland's Apparel and Footwear

Hovland is regarded as one of the funkiest dressers on tour and has an apparel deal with J. Lindeberg. His preferred golf shoe is the Puma Ignite Articulate, which we tested and adored for its superior traction, all-around support, and stylish appearance.
