American golfer Xander Schauffele is set to defend his gold medal at the Paris Olympics this week. The 30-year-old will play at Le Golf National course, located on the outskirts of Paris, from August 1 to 4.
The two-time Major championship winner won a gold medal for USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Schauffele usually does not experiment too much with his clubs: he was known for keeping his equipment the same for over two years. However, since his last Olympics start, almost every club in Schauffele's bag has been swapped out.
Here's a comparision of Schauffele's equipment in the 2021 and 2024 Summer Olympics.
Driver
- 2020 - Callaway Epic Speed Triple Diamond (9 degrees) with Graphite Design Tour AD BB 7x shaft
- 2024 - Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond (10.5 degrees) with Mitsubishi Diamana PD 70 TX shaft

- 2020 - Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero 7 wood (20 degrees) with Graphite Design Tour AD DI shaft
- 2024 - Mizuno MP-20 HMB (3) with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue Mid X100 shaft
Xander Schauffele's 7 wood helped him out tremendously in Tokyo 2020. However, he has since taken the club out of his bag and has replaced it with a driving iron this week.
Irons
- 2020 - Callaway Apex TCB irons (raw finish) with Nippon NS Pro Modus 3 Tour 130X shafts
- 2024 - Callaway Apex TCB irons (raw finish) with True Temper Dynamic Golf Tour Issue X100 shafts
Schauffele has made the switch from a wedge to a stock Apex TCB pitching wedge. Another major change from his 2020 bag is the addition of an unorthodox 10-iron, which bears the same loft as his former pitching wedge in 2020.
