The PGA Tour is headed to TPC Scottsdale for the WM Phoenix Open this week. The first round of the event will start on Thursday, February 9 evening, and the tournament finals are expected to end on Sunday, February 12 evening, before the Super Bowl begins.
This year's WM Phoenix is star-studded, with eight of the top 10 players in OWGR participating in the event. The Golf Channel will broadcast the event for the entire four days, starting on Thursday, before switching to CBS over the weekend.

Apart from TV, fans will have the option to stream the tournament online exclusively on ESPN+, where they will have the facility to use four streams.
In addition to the main feed, which telecasts the live event, fans will be able to see the Marquee Group, Featured Group, and Featured Holes.

WM Phoenix Open 2023 field
This year's WM Phoenix Open will feature 136 professional players vying for the championship. TPC Scottsdale officials have decided not to grant any amateur exemptions this year. Rory McIlroy, the current World No. 1, will be back on the PGA Tour after last featuring in the CJ Cup, which he went on to win. He recently secured victory at the DP World Tour's Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
World No. 3 Jon Rahm has his sights set on the top spot as he has already claimed two victories this year and won four of his last six events. World No. 2 Scottie Scheffler will also aim to defend his title at TPC Scottsdale.
Will Zalatoris and Adam Scott have opted out of the WM Phoenix Open as the PGA Tour has allowed players to skip one of the 17 designated events on the Tour.
Many top golfers defected to LIV Golf last year. As a result, they are also out of the event at TPC Scottsdale. World No. 4 Cameron Smith is one such top-ranked player who will have to face the consequences of a PGA Tour ban. Besides Smith, the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, and Pat Perez will also miss the WM Phoenix Open.
Five players who have received sponsor invitations this week are Charley Hoffman, Taylor Montgomery, Davis Thompson, Ricky Barnes, and two-time tournament winner J.B. Holmes.
The purse size of the tournament has been increased to $20 million in comparison to last year's $9 million, The winner's share has doubled to $3.6 million from last year’s $1.46 million.
