Danny Lee is the latest addition to the Saudi-backed LIV Golf. The Kiwi golfer signed a deal with the rebel series as was confirmed by the officials with the release of their roster for 2023.
He will be playing for the Iron Heads GC, which will be headed by Kevin Na. Lee has joined Scott Vincent and Sihwan Kim for the second edition of LIV Golf.
Danny Lee has competed in numerous PGA Tour tournaments since turning professional in 2009. He started his journey after the 2009 Masters Tournament, having competed at the US Open and British Open as an amateur golfer.
Lee later signed a two-year contract with Callaway Golf just after turning pro. He had a considerably good start to his golfing career, but later, struggled with his performances for a few years.
During his career playing on the PGA Tour, Danny Lee has earned three victories. He won one PGA Tour event at the Greenbrier Classic in 2015. Lee defeated David Hearn, Kevin Kisner, and Robert Streb to finish at a score under 13.
Lee also registered a victory at the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic after taking a one-stroke lead over Felipe Aguilar, Hiroyuki Fujita, and Ross McGowan.

Danny Lee was born on July 24, 1990 in Incheon, South Korea. However, he emigrated to New Zealand at the age of eight. Lee was granted Kiwi citizenship on September 2, 2008. He attended Rotorua Boys' High School.
Lee has been playing golf since his school days. He won the US Amateur title in 2008 and became the youngest player to clinch the trophy. He was 18 years and one month at the time, six months younger than when American golfer Tiger Woods won the US Amateur title in 1994, at the age of 18 years and seven months. However, the record was later broken by An Byeong Hun, who won the US Amateur at the age of 17.
His victory in the US Amateur helped him top the amateur world rankings and remained in the position until he turned professional in 2009.
Danny Lee represented New Zealand at the Eisenhower Trophy held in Adelaide, Australia. He had a phenomenal start to his career and was making the headlines throughout 2009. However, Lee's fame witnessed a downfall in 2010 only to return in 2011.
He started the year in a tie for seventh position at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open and the following week finished second at the Volvo China Open.
