Who is Hayden Springer's wife? All we know about his wife Emma Springer

Hayden Springer is leading the 2024 John Deere Classic after a first-round score of 12 under 59. Springer matched the course record and achieved his career-low score with this performance.

Springer has been married to Emma Ballard since 2019, with whom he has been in a romantic relationship since his freshman year at Texas Tech University. Hayden and Emma were part of the college golf team where they first met.

In fact, Hayden Springer's wife had a very interesting stint in golf, although she did not pursue a professional career. Emma practiced this sport since her junior years with excellent results.

Among her main accomplishments in golf were winning the 2014 Shell Houston Open Junior and winning the 2014 High School District Championship representing Kingwood High School.

She also finished second at the 2015 Aaron's/Bob Estes Abilene Junior and third at the 2015 AJGA St. Francis Ville Area Foundation Junior at the Bluffs.

With Texas Tech she played two seasons in U.S. collegiate golf. She participated in 17 tournaments, with a T35 at the Red Raider Invitational as a career-best. Her lowest score was a 73 (she shot it four times).

After graduating from Texas Tech, Emma Springer went on to study nursing at the Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston. Although Hayden Springer also transferred colleges, their relationship grew strong and they became engaged in August 2018.

Both Emma and Hayden Springer graduated in 2019 and started their respective professional careers. However, they tied the knot in August 2019, at a farmhouse in Montogomery, Texas.

The couple welcomed their first daughter, Sage, in October 2020. Sadly, the baby girl was born suffering from Trisomy 18, a severe developmental disorder stemming from an extra chromosome. Due to this disorder, Sage passed away in November 2023.

Hayden and Emma Springer have another daughter, Annie, born in October 2022. Emma is continuing her career as a nurse, while Hayden is in his fifth season as a professional golfer and first as a member of the PGA Tour.

A look at Hayden Springer's first-round performance at the John Deere Classic

Springer played at an exceptional level on the front nine during the first round of the 2024 John Deere Classic. On 8 of 9 holes, he posted a score of 3 (scored 4 on hole 1) which translated into an eagle and six birdies to go out at 8 under 27.

On the back nine, Springer continued his good pace. He parred consecutively the first five holes, to close with birdie - par - eagle - birdie his performance this Thursday.

With this score, Hayden Springer equaled the course record set by Paul Goydos during the first round of the John Deere Classic in 2010. In addition, it is the 14th sub-60 score achieved on the PGA Tour and the second of 2024, just two weeks after Cameron Young achieved the same score at the Travelers Championship.

Springer earned his PGA Tour card by finishing in the Top 5 of the 2023 Q-School. That season he played just seven events on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica (two wins) and four on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Springer has played 14 events during the 2024 PGA Tour season, with six cuts made. He has two top-10 finishes, with a T3 at the Puerto Rico Open as his best result. He is currently ranked 127th in the FedEx Cup rankings.
