American professional golfer John Maxwell Homa was born on November 19, 1990. He competes on the PGA Tour. He triumphed in the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship while in college. He has six victories in his career on the PGA Tour.

Homa's first PGA Tour tournament as a pro came in October 2013, when he finished T-9 at the Frys.com Open. He finished the Web.com Tour qualifying school in December 2013 in a tie for sixth place.

At the Web.com Tour's BMW Charity Pro-Am in May 2014, he won his first professional match, defeating fellow rookie Jonathan Randolph by one stroke and earning $117,000 in the process. He earned a PGA Tour card for the 2014–2015 season by placing 17th on the Web.com Tour regular-season money list.

Homa successfully defended the Fortinet Championship in September 2022 by chipping in for a birdie on the last hole to defeat Danny Willett by one stroke. He was chosen to represent the United States in the 2022 Presidents Cup, and he triumphed in every one of his four matches.

Homa won the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2023. He overcame a two-shot deficit with a final round of six under par to beat Keegan Bradley.

In July 2013, Homa and Croom began dating. The couple wed in November 2019 after six years. Croom has established a career in real estate. According to her LinkedIn profile, she has real estate agent licenses in both Arizona and California.

Additionally, she owns her own company, Croom Appraisal Services, and is a California-licensed residential real estate appraiser. After they got married, she adopted Max's last name, Homa.

The professional golfer posted a picture from their wedding and a picture of Croom in his first Instagram post in January 2020.

“First IG post is of my beautiful new wife because 1) I love her and she always comes first, and 2) I’ve enjoyed being married and don’t wanna sleep on the couch tonight,” the caption read.

The couple revealed they would be expecting their first child together in 2022. On October 30, 2022, Cam Andrew Homa was born after the couple announced their gender on Instagram with their dog Scotty.

"He is the hardest worker,” Croom told the PGA Tour in 2022. “I think if you continue to just work as hard as he is, you just kind of forget about that stuff (the struggles). He did have some scar tissue for a while, but he has replaced those memories with so many good ones."
