LPGA Tour veteran Lexi Thompson announced her engagement to Max Provost via social media on January 3, 2025. The engagement took place after Provost proposed to Thompson during their trip to Whistler, Canada. Images of the same were uploaded by the former golfer on her social media.
While the timeline of their relationship has been kept private by the couple, the news of Thompson's engagement has sparked curiosity around Max Provost. According to his LinkedIn profile, Provost currently works as a Clinical Sales Representative at Intuitive, a biotechnology company involved in the manufacturing of medical equipment.
Provost got promoted to the role of Clinical Sales Representative in 2023. Before that, he worked as a Clinical Territory Associate and Clinical Sales Associate between 2020 and 2023.
He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing from Florida State University in 2018 and began his career with a two-month internship as a Research Analyst Intern at Grain Management in 2014. Months later, he worked at CA Ventures, LLC for over three years months before moving to Revcontent in 2018.
At Revcontent, Provost worked as a Business Development Executive, and eight months later, he left the company to join ADP as Associate District Manager in 2019. After spending a year and three months at ADP, Provost moved to his current company, Intuitive.

Lexi Thompson commented on getting married and settling down last year
In May 2024, Lexi Thompson announced that she would be pulling the curtains to her career as a professional golfer at the end of the season. Later, the 11-time LPGA Tour winner spoke about her plans to get married and settle down.
During a press conference at the St. Andrews Links at the AIG Women's Open, Thompson reflected on her retirement and said:
"I’ll be 30 next year, so settle down, get married, have a family. That’s my No. 1 priority... Next year I want to travel. I want to be able to travel and not play golf, so to be able to sightsee and do all the touristy things. Definitely looking forward to that.”
However, the 29-year-old did mention that she would keep indulging herself on the greens, claiming that the sport is something that 'brings people together'.
“No, it (playing golf) would be something I would do for fun because I think golf is such an amazing game for bringing families together, bringing people together, and building those relationships. I think it’s super important. So no, it’s not something I would just stop. The family wouldn’t stop that. But professionally, I don’t plan on having a family and playing professional golf.”
Lexi Thompson registered 15 wins in her career as a professional golfer. However, she couldn't win an event on the LPGA Tour in her last season, with one of her best finishes being a T3 at the Ford Championship pres. by KCC.
