Who is playing for Team Europe at the 2024 Solheim Cup? Full list explored

The 2024 Solheim Cup is set to take place at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia, from September 13 to 15. Team Europe's captain Suzann Pettersen has announced the final line-up for the prestigious event.

The team comprises the top two players on the Solheim Cup points list, top six players on the Rolex World Golf Rankings, and four are handpicked by the captain herself. In the 12-player squad, 10 have already made their debut in the event.

Golf's latest sensation, Charley Hull, will be making her seventh appearance as Team Europe's star golfer. Having qualified via the points system, she has a career record of 12-7-3 at the Solheim Cup. Carlota Ciganda is also set to appear for the seventh time in her career after leading the team to victory in 2023.

Celine Boutier is making her fourth start in the high-pressure tournament. She made her way onto the team via a world ranking of eighth at 30 years. Maja Stark and Linn Grant also qualified the same way and are sure to beat their records of 2-1-1 and 3-2-0 made, respectively, during their debut in 2023.

Leona Maguire stunned at the 2021 and 2023 editions of the Solheim Cup. With a world ranking of 32nd, she is eager to beat her record of 7-2-1.

2024 Solheim Cup - Team USA Automatic Qualifiers

As Lydia Ko emerged victorious at last week's AIG Women's Open, the nine automatic qualifiers for Team USA at the 2024 Solheim Cup was announced. Captain Stacy Lewis will finalize the team with three picks of her choice on Tuesday, August 27.

With six players making their way into the team via the Solheim Cup points, Nelly Korda is set to lead the pack in September in Virginia. The other five players are Lilia Vu, Lauren Coughlin, Ally Ewing, Allisen Corpuz, Megan Kang, and Andrea Lee.

Stacy Lewis also announced that former Stanford golfer Rose Zhang will make it on the team as the next highest ranked American in the world beside the six points qualifiers. Alison Lee will also star in the field for the second time through the same qualifing criteria.
