The 2024 LPGA Tour season officially ended a week ago with the CME Group Tour Championship, but there are still events on the schedule. One of the most important is the Q-Series Final, which will be held from December 5-9 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail and Magnolia Grove Golf Course in Alabama.
The Q-Series Final Qualifying Tournament is the final event to earn a Tour card for 2025. The event will feature more than 100 competitors who have qualified in a variety of ways.
LPGA Q-Series Final Qualifying Criteria and Top Players
All players who finish in the top 25 (plus ties) at the Q-Series final event will earn an LPGA Tour card for next season. They will join those who are already exempt through other categories.
These are the players who will make up the Q-Series Final field:
The top 35 LPGA Q-Series qualifiers
The Q-Series Qualifying Stage was the previous stage of the qualifying process. Exactly 43 players (top 35 plus ties) qualified for the final stage. In this group, reigning National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) singles champion and world amateur number 10 Adela Cernousek stands out.
Still a student at Texas A&M, Cernousek had to turn professional to play in the event after finishing in a tie for first place in the previous stage.
Players ranked 101-150 in the Race to CME Globe
Players ranked 1-100 in the Race to CME Globe have automatically earned their 2025 card. Those ranked 101 to 150 (plus ties) will have a chance to earn their card in the Final Qualifier.
This group includes several major champions who did not have a good season, such as Danielle Kang and In Gee Chun.
Players ranked 16-35 on the Epson Tour Points List
The top 15 players on the Epson Tour points list will automatically earn an LPGA Tour card for 2025, while those ranked 16-35 will have one more shot at the Q-Series Finals.
The group includes several players with top-level experience, such as Dewi Weber, who spent the 2024 season on the world's premier tour.
Players ranked in the world's top 75
Most players ranked in the top 75 in the world are already playing on the LPGA Tour. If not, they can play in the Q-Series finals and earn their card for next season.
This may be the case for stars on the Japanese and Korean tours. Such is the case of Da Som Ma (ranked 60th), winner of three tournaments on the Korean circuit in 2024.
Top 10 Ladies European Tour Order of Merit
The top 10 Ladies European Tour players of the season will also qualify for the Q-Series Finals. This group is led by Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, Chiara Tamburlini. Other qualifiers include Manon De Roey and Bronte Law.
