Women's golf at the 2024 Olympics: Early odds, Nelly Korda's predictions explored

The stage is set for the 2024 Paris Olympics, with men's golf taking center stage from August 1-4, followed by women's golf from August 7-11. Golf returned to the Olympics in 2016, and the best players in the world are about to tee up at the 2024 Summer Games.

The Le Golf National in Guyancourt, France will host golf at the Olympic Games. This golf course hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup, where Team Europe defeated Team USA with a score of 17½ to 10½.

Like every PGA Tour and LPGA Tour event, the 2024 Olympics golf event will have a 72-hole stroke play format and will be held over four days. The 60 golfers competing in the women's event will play all four rounds, as there is no cut line at the Olympic golf event.

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Nelly Korda won the gold medal for Team USA. Japan's Mone Inami won silver, and New Zealand's Lydia Ko won the bronze medal.

For the 2024 Paris Olympics, Nelly Korda is the favorite to win the gold medal. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the 25-year-old has odds of +600, and a win probability of 14.29% going into the prestigious event.

Apart from Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko is the only former medalist in the field, while other former medalists failed to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games.
