
American professional golfer Alexander Victor Schauffele competes on the PGA Tour. Since going pro in 2015, he has claimed 12 victories, including the 2024 PGA Championship and the 2024 Open Championship, as of April 2025. At the 2020 Summer Olympics' men's individual golf event, Schauffele took home the gold medal and even participated in 2024 but finished in ninth place. Schauffele played four matches, winning three and losing one, to earn a spot on the American team at the 2022 Presidents Cup.

Schauffele, born on October 25, 1993, in San Diego, California, to a French/German immigrant father, Stephan, and a Taiwanese mother, Chen Ping-Yi, was raised in Japan. In an interview with the PGA Tour in October 2024, Schauffele described his multicultural background, saying:
"My dad's half French, half German, and my mom was born in Chinese Taipei and grew up here in Japan."
Throughout his golfing career, he has only had his father as his swing tutor. As a result of Schauffele's emphasis on fundamental golf club mechanics and ball flight laws in his teaching methods, he did not observe his own swing until he was about 18 years old.
