Mika Zibanejad is a Swedish professional ice hockey center and alternate captain for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He joined the Senators' lineup for the 2011–12 season but returned to Djurgårdens IF in Sweden after playing nine NHL games with Ottawa and scoring one point. On 18 July 2016, after five seasons with the Senators, Zibanejad was traded to the Rangers.

Zibanejad has represented Sweden internationally, contributing to the junior team's victory at the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and the senior team's win at the 2018 IIHF World Championship. Zibanejad, in addition to his hockey prowess, is a DJ and music producer. Mika Zibanejad has released five songs since 2017 and made his music festival debut in 2019 at the Summerburst Festival. According to the NHL, Zibanejad was drafted by the Senators in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Senators on October 7, 2011, against the Buffalo Sabres. In his rookie season, Zibanejad played 9 games for the Senators, contributing with an assist. Mika Zibanejad played for the Binghamton Senators, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, during the 2012-13 season. He also played in 23 games for the Binghamton Senators in 2012-13, scoring 4 goals and adding 7 assists.

Zibanejad was sent to the Binghamton Senators at the start of the 2012-13 season due to the NHL lockout. He was recalled to the Ottawa Senators on January 28, 2013, and made his NHL debut on January 29, 2013, against the Washington Capitals. Zibanejad scored 20 goals and added 26 assists in 80 games for the Senators in 2014-15, reaching the 20-goal milestone for the first time. New York Rangers (2016-present)

According to the NHL, On July 18, 2016, Zibanejad was traded to the New York Rangers in exchange for Derick Brassard and a seventh-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Zibanejad with the Rangers in 2016-17, scored 14 goals and added 23 assists in 56 games. In the 2018-19 season, he had a career-high 30 goals and 44 assists in 82 games. Zibanejad had a breakout season with the Rangers in 2019-20, scoring 41 goals and adding 34 assists in 57 games. He also played in the NHL playoffs, helping the Rangers reach the Eastern Conference Preliminary Round.

According to Spotrac, Zibanejad signed an eight-year, $68 million contract extension with the Rangers on October 10, 2021. In addition to this news, he was appointed an alternate Rangers captain. Zibanejad continued to excel, securing three assists, including his 500th NHL point, in a commanding 5-1 victory for the Rangers against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden on March 25, 2022. He also played in the NHL playoffs, helping the Rangers reach the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

In the 2022–23 season, Mika Zibanejad continued as the Rangers' top center. On October 17, 2022, he scored two goals and four points in a 6–4 win over the Ducks. In March 2023, he was named one of the NHL's three stars of the week, with five goals and nine points in four games. Zibanejad finished the season leading the team with 39 goals and placing second with 91 points. In the playoffs, the Rangers faced the Devils. Zibanejad helped force Game 7 with a goal and two points in Game 6, but the Rangers were eliminated in the next game.
